TRIBAL MARKS & TATTOOS

In the past, tribal marks were an integral part of culture. It's used to be a common practice in Africa & it's still practiced till this very day (at least in my part of Africa).

These marks were not mere art forms, but had deeply rooted meanings such as for identifying personality, family or tribe. It was usually given to individuals at childhood or during done other form of ritual ceremony.

Tattoos on the other hand are quite fashionable and come in different colours and patterns.

One thing is certain though, they are both permanent marks on the body. But while the former is becoming a thing of the past, the later is more like a modern day trend.
There are some stereotypes concerning these marks though.

People see individuals with tribal marks as a 'turn off'. I mean, who wants to approach a beautiful girl with giant scars that looks like she had come off a battle with a tiger at some point. Others consider people with tattoos as irresponsible. If you asked me, I would say, "it is impossible to say how true it is."

I'd prefer tattoos cause you would at least be old enough to decide if you wanted one. Honestly, I wouldn't want to be cutting my children's faces so they don't forget where they came from. *ridiculous* isn't it.

Tattoos are more fashionable and fancier...true...but remember, its permanent and could go wrong such as this.
Tatto gone wrong could be very embarrassing

So think twice before you get one. On the most part however, they are adorable. And I'd love to get one someday ^•^
