POEM: Lucid Dreams
"You smiled
As I was baptised with joyKiss me with your eyes openOnly sinners pray with eyes closed"
LUCID DREAMS
I had a dream that we were lovers
In paradise
The way you looked at me
Like we had known each other
before time began
You smiled
As I was baptised with joy
Just being there next to me
Was my benediction
You hold my hands
I felt goose bumps, for real
I’d probably miss you more when
I wake
So I hold on tight, never letting go
Watching butterflies fly away
Wishing we could fly away too
To a place time forgot
To spend our days in love
Kiss me with your eyes open
Only sinners pray with eyes closed
And even if I couldn’t see through
the lies behind those eyes
At least they would be beautiful lies
I had a dream that we were lovers

And when I awoke
You were gone
