The Language of Money$$$

What would you rather have N1,000,000 in cash right now or one kobo today, two kobos tomorrow, four kobos the next day, eight kobos the next one and so on for the next 30 days?

Good morning everybody! It's a wonderful Tuesday morning & a beautiful day to talk $$$. I decided to dedicate Tuesdays to talk about money cause you know it takes a man to understand the language of money.

A man is financially responsible; a boy is not.
So to answer the question of the day, most people would choose the million naira at once & I have nothing against that. I mean, who wouldn’t want a million naira?

But then again that's where I explain that most people do not understand the language of money. If you were given a kobo today & it was doubled everyday, naturally you would assume that it would take forever to grow your millions.

But let's take a look at the calculations:
Day 1: N.01
Day 2: N.02
Day 3: N.04
Day 4: N.08
Day 5: N.16
Day 6: N.32
Day 7: N.64
Day 8: N1.28
Day 9: N2.56
Day 10: N5.12
Day 11: N10.24
Day 12: N20.48
Day 13: N40.96
Day 14: N81.92
Day 15: N163.84
Day 16: N327.68
Day 17: N655.36
Day 18: N1,310.72
Day 19: N2,621.44
Day 20: N5,242.88
Day 21: N10,485.76
Day 22: N20,971.52
Day 23: N41,943.04
Day 24: N83,386.08
Day 25: N167,772.16
Day 26: N335,544.32
Day 27: N671,088.64
Day 28: N1,342,177.28
Day 29: N2,684,354.56
Day 30: N5,368,709.12

Did you just go wowwwwwww! Well you are not the only one. This phenomenon is known as 'compound interest'.

The language of money is quite simple but the truth is only a few can truly understand it. You don't have to be an expert or economist or analyst or broker or whatever to understand how money works.

If you are looking to obtain financial freedom then stick with me on Tuesdays while I take you on a journey towards getting the $$$.
