Who is A Model?
"Modeling is not just beauty and smile, it takes boldness and style."
-Amit Kalantri
Modeling is a noble career choice, I would know that cause I'm a model myself. But beyond the glamour & all that stuff it really is hard work. And there is no guarantee for fame or stardom, which only a select few achieve.
The rest are usually under paid or just earn enough to barely go by. But in today's article I only want to focus on the positives & talk about the type of models in the business.
A model is a person with a role either to promote, display or advertise commercial products, or to serve as a visual aid for people who are creating works of art or to pose for photography.

A model like you already know is a real life mannequin that is employed to showcase a product or in most cases outfits. As well as posing for various other uses such as art, research work, educational work etc.
Models for the most part have to be good looking. And if you're looking to go into runway then you have to be tall. I'm talking 5'7" for the ladies & over 6' for guys.
There are a lot of opportunities for models in today's market ranging from reality TV to music videos, commercials, media prints such as magazines, newspapers, journals etc & even on instagram! Yeah you heard that right.
Now I don't really want this to be a long post because I just wanted to do a kind of introduction on the topic with more articles to follow. However the life of a model can be fun.
You get to travel around, get exclusive invites to events, meet a lot of influencial people & if you've got charisma you can make a fortune out of it.
However like I mentioned earlier, there's a lot of hard work that goes down behind the scenes. You need to work on your catwalk, exercise regularly, taking care of your body, you can't rule out the need of a great attitude, making the camera your best friend & knowing basically what works best for you.
If you've got a passion for modeling I'll always tell you to follow your heart. Don't let anybody talk you into giving up your dreams. One thing is guaranteed though, you'll always have fun doing what you love. Peace ^_^
